Eyra Abraham is a public speaker, consultant, and tech founder focused on how accessibility functions in real-world systems. Her speaking draws from lived experience, technical development, and advisory work across multiple domains, offering audiences a perspective that is both personal and operational. Her work spans policy, standards, and implementation, with contributions at the provincial, national, and international levels. Eyra is a past member of the Accessibility Standards Advisory Council with the Government of Ontario (AODA), a member of the CSA Group’s Accessible Customer Service Standard Subcommittee, a former steering committee member for Start Access with the American Association of People with Disabilities, and has contributed to plain language standards with Accessibility Standards Canada. Eyra has been featured on TVO, CBC, Global News, and the Globe and Mail, sharing her perspective on AI and disability inclusion. Her impact has garnered attention for her work, earning her recognition as one of Canada’s Top 100 Black Women to Watch in 2019 and the Most Impactful Award from Women in IT Canada in 2023.
