Chair, CSA Z800 Basement Flood Protection Guideline
Barbara was invited to chair this essential committee of 30 diverse professionals, to develop a new CSA Guideline (which will evolve into a Standard) to set policy for the protection against basement flooding, by making improvements on both the private and public side of our infrastructure. The diverse group includes members from NRC, Insurance groups, municipalities, manufacturers, water and sewer purveyors, Inspectors, Building Officials, etc. Barbara was asked to Chair because of her extensive technical expertise in this area. The Guideline is expected to be published (following successful public review) in early summer, 2018.
